If you receive the following error message when restoring a Winclone image: "You are attempting to restore to partition x. Boot Camp only supports booting Windows from the first four partitions. Please select a different partition or create a boot camp partition that is within the first four partitions...", it will not be possible to restore the image in the current configuration.
Boot Camp must reside on one of the first four partitions.
Check the partition order by going to Utilities -> Terminal and type at the command prompt: diskutil list
The results of this command should show the following:
/dev/disk0
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme *251.0 GB disk0
1: EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1
2: Apple_HFS Macintosh HD 214.1 GB disk0s2
3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3
4: Microsoft Basic Data BOOTCAMP 36.0 GB disk0s4
In the above example, Boot Camp resides at the fourth partition, following the EFI firmware partition, the OS X partition and the recovery partition. In some cases, there may not be a recovery partition present and Boot Camp may appear as disk0s3.
If Boot Camp is not located among the first four partitions, it will be necessary to remove partitions previously created to allow Boot Camp to be located among the first four partitions.
